Our Classroom
STEAM Learning in Clapham
Our classroom is resourced with carefully sourced high-quality play provocations supporting the educational development of young toddlers. We use lots of natural open-ended materials promoting our emphasis on STEAM learning; Science, Technology, Engineering, Art and Mathematics. Providing lots of opportunities for problem solving, creative expression and peer play.
Our Routines & Structures
Our routines and structures support this development providing a warm, safe environment for self-expression, self-awareness and communication.
Our weekly routine also includes the following activities which further enhances a rich learning environment:
Trips to Northcote Road Library for story time sessions - supporting early literacy.
Weekly Playball sessions – creating a positive attitude towards sport and physical activity providing a solid foundation in movement, which improves learning.
Trips to Wandsworth Common to engage in Woodland learning - Immersion in nature provides an array of benefits including social and emotional wellbeing reducing stress, promoting clam and environmental awareness. Empowering children to take risks in a safe and supportive environment overcoming challenges and mastering new skills.
Providing Hot & Nutritious Lunches
We provide hot lunches each day, offering a nutritionally balanced two-course meal through a varied, seasonal menu.
Eating together encourages the development of table manners, proper use of cutlery, and healthy eating habits.
Our meals are provided by V&Me (www.V&Me.co.uk)
